I believe this was an issue in an early version of CR2016. You should be able to download the latest service pack (SP7 Patch 7) from here: https://origin.softwaredownloads.sap.com/public/site/index.html. With the new "ONE" installer you can upgrade directly to the patch version without having to install the SP first. So, you'll use the following from the drop-downs:
Software Download: SAP Crystal Reports
Product Version: SAP Crystal Reports 2016
Software Type: CV_PATCH
Click on "File Title" and sort descending. The download you want will be the first one in the list.
Thank you for the suggestion, I am having the same issue as described above. Currently I am using SP2, but I wonder if I might get license issues when updating to a higher SP. Can you tell me?
I am not an SAP employee. However, I'm almost certain that there is no licensing issue with upgrading to the latest service pack - that's why the upgrade download is available without having to log in to SAP.
