Hello all,
I know that when a 309 movement is used to reclass a material, a new inspection lot is made. When my site does these reclasses we have just been manually copying the data from the original inspection lot to the new one through qe51n.
Does anyone know of an easier way to transfer the data from the old one to the new one?
when a coa is generated will it only pull from the new inspection lot and not old? we aren’t too familiar with the coa generation aspects of sap, so any info on this regard will be helpful.
thanks
Hi Andrew, in the new inspection lot you can click Edit -> Copy and specify the lot to copy from. You could also create an enhancement to do this automatically. In terms of the COA, you can include results from any material in the batch-where-used list of the final material. This is done by using the Materials screen in the cert profile and then specifying the material line number (10, 20, etc) on the line of the char (mic) in the cert profile. Hope that makes sense.

Hi Andrew, this post might help you
https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/PLM/Copy+Inspection+Results+from+Previous+Inspection+Lot
You can set the results origin for each MIC in your inspection plan. Then in the Results Recording screen (QE01, I think?) click Edit from the top menu and Copy Results.
I agree with Sara. This is the way to implement this requirement!!

Are you batch managed? Typically batch results copy across from batch to batch. But not inspection lots.
If you are batch managed and the 309 transfer shows up in the batch where used list than I believe you can use the "results from the production chain" functionality in the COA.
If you are not batch managed, I'm not sure you have many other options.
