Hi,
I've seen this question already referring to the proxy settings. I believe I have the same issue. However it will be quite difficult for me to get my local IT to open up for the direct proxy settings. Any other chance to get it working.
When I launch my desktop agent, it just shows a blank screen. I can't do anything and it doesn't write any logs. My software version is the one downloaded from tools.hana.ondemand.com version 1.0.5.57

this is known issue and will fixed with the 2002 release. In the meantime add registry key CtxtRun.exe with value (in decimal) 11000 in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION
Please check your OS version:
For OS 32 bits : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\ Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION for OS 64 bits : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\ MAIN\FeatureControl\FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION
