Best way to extract BSEG table with 1.1m records in SE16n

I am new on SAP R/3 and I have been experiencing issues trying to extract the BSEG table for a whole year (2017). The table has about 1.1m records and I have been experiencing memory loss issues trying to extract the full table on SE16n within SAP.

I have heard that this may be possible on ABAP but I have no idea what that is or how to go about extracting the table in ABAP. Please are there any other options to getting this done?

You can run the report in the background or run SE16N in the background and then export to Excel or a text file

Hi,

Limiting the number of fields in the output improves the performance. To do this unflag fields not needed in the output when executing transaction SE16N.
