Plant maintenance: work center change on the notifications assigned

i am trying to change the work center assigned to the notification, but it dosen't work

after clicking enter it goes back to the previous work center,

and i can't figure what is the reason behind that,

could anyone tell me what are the possibilities ,

what enhancements could be in the way of that change ?

i'm an ABAPer BTW.
