Setting Fiori default view for all users

I'm not a developer, so please keep it simple...

I can see that any public views can be transported. But if I set that view as default, that default attribute does not get transported.

Is there any way to do a mass update such that a specific Fiori app view can be set as default for all users system-wide?

The context for this question: we are upgrading from ECC to S/4, and I'd like to roll out a number of apps with a view set as default for all users.
