Passing filter values across multiple pages using different models

We have a story that contains 6 different pages with a different model for each page. Is there anyway we can pass a filter value selected from one page to another within the same story? In this case, it is an attribute of DATE datatype...and can we reformat the date for each page, for example, one page only needs the year and another year/month, etc.
