C4C Is there more detailed information on Request Campaign Interactions from SAP Business Suite?

Hi,

Currently we have set up the integration between SAP Marketing Cloud and SAP Cloud for Customer. Data on business partners, campagnes and interactions are replicated using the data replication services and quite a lot of information becomes visible.

We want to set up the Request Campaign Interactions from SAP Business Suite, for more detailed insight on interactions, but this one is very limited documented.

"Campaign interactions are available in SAP Cloud for Customer via a new interface."

In the latest integration guide it is referred to as a data mashup. See picture .campaigns-and-interactions.jpg

Will this data mash up be triggered from the account record, from the Object ID in the campaign interactions sections? Is there an action button that needs to be added in the section? In the master lay out of the customer there is an option for adding a mashup, besides the marketing campaigns and campaign interactions, but it does not work (yet). Can this mash up also be triggered from the campaign?

Any information on how this interface/mash up should work, also from a functional and user perspective is welcome!

Hi,

Actually there are 2 'processes'

1. Request Campaign Interactions from SAP Business Suite

- Via SAP CPI

- Supported by a communication arrangement; including

C4C/yMKT/QueryCampaignInteraction in the URL

- Triggered every time the campagne tab, where replicated marketing campaign and marketing interactions are displayed, within the (individual) customer is selected.

2. Mash up (URL) Interactions

- Directly from SAP C4C Individual Customer to SAP Marketing Cloud

- Url =

- Parameters:

sap-client

id = CustomerInternalID

- The interactions screen of the individual customer is opened in SAP Marketing Cloud

For the second a user id and password on SAP Marketing Cloud is needed

Hi everyone,

Please, can you share again de URL updated? I can't open it.

On other hand, I have the mashup activated as Markus said, but by clicking on the available hyperlink for more details, I can't reach the detail of a version of the email.

The detail only shows the following data, is there a possibility to reach the campaign (creativity detail) directly on Marketing cloud from C4C?

Hi mjveerhuis ,

I don't know if that URL mashup is a little bit of a red herring here.

As long as you have scoped the feature in, set up the communication system/arrangements correctly and then made the Campaigns tab visible in Contact and/or Account, then you should see the sections Marketing Campaigns & Interactions for Marketing Campaign in the Campaign tab. The data will appear there.

Are you not seeing something like this?

Hi Markus,

We are seeing exactly the same situation as in your print screen.

We set up the communication arrangements for business partner to business suite, campaigns from business suite, business activities form business suite and campaign interactions from business suite. All went quite fast and we had a result as in your print screen.

All campaigns and activities are replicated after a campaign is released directly to SAP C4C. When the campaign tab is opened we see that this campaign interactions form business suite is triggered. What the added value of this is, as all campaigns and activities are already replicated into the application, is still not really clear to me.

The thing was that the picture shared in my initial question, which is included in te documentation, displays a data mashup as if there was an additional 'thing'. You call it a red herring, so a misleading thing.

So after some back and forth I set up a URL mash up which enables end users in C4C to navigate from the (individual) customer directly into SAP Marketing Cloud and open the interactions app. It works fine although my customer thinks it will take call agents too much time, I can imagine that in some scenarios it can be of added value.

Hi Marie-José,

Ah, maybe I misunderstood the issue then 🙂 In your scenario where you're replicating all campaigns & activities to C4C perhaps the benefit of seeing the campaign interactions for an account/contact in C4C is not that great.

I guess the main benefit of having it available would be for cases where the interactions are not brought into C4C like in my example screenshot the emails sent, clicks, etc. Also the email hyperlink opens a version of the email sent to that specific contact, including personalisation, which is a nice feature.

Of course, if the C4C users are mainly using PC/laptop then the URL mashup to navigate to the corresponding contact in Marketing Cloud is also a viable option. The URL mashup does not work nicely currently with mobile users.

Just my 2 cents on the topic 🙂

Hi Sikander,

I already mentioned this exact link in my question and it does not help me further as the information is too limited.

In the overview of the integration it looks as if this is a data mashup based on soap. (see jpeg)

After discussing via an incident with SAP Cloud Support I was told that this request interface is a URL Mash up, just like the marketing permission process.

In the meanwhile I defined this URL Mash up and added Individual Customer Information as port binding and than to the page lay out.

The URL wich contains ..... C4C/yMKT/QueryCampaignInteraction is not yet working properly.

So issue not yet solved, feedback still welcome and in case I solve it my self I will update this question.
