Export/Import functionality in S4 HANA Migration Cockpit

Hi,

I've created a migration project in my Sandbox (S4 HANA 1909) system, which has both standard and custom migration objects. These objects works fine in the Sandbox and I've been successful in migrating data using the generated templates. However, when I moved this project to the Development system and tried migrating data , I get an error "Error while generating runtime object" after the Validate Data step. On checking the LTMOM screen, I found that the migration objects (both standard and custom) have the status "Not Generated". When I try generating these objects, I get an error for the custom object and the object does not get generated. The very same object works fine in the Sandbox.

Is this a known issue with the Export/Import functionality ? Are there any notes provided by SAP that would rectify this issue?

I cannot say for 1909 (yet), but in the previous version this export/import procedure worked just fine.

What is the error for the objects that you get? Check this in LTMOM if you have not done so already.

If your custom object uses a Z* FM or populates some Z* - fields - verify that the fields and/or the FM exist in the target system and are active.

Are both the source and the target system using the same version?

Thanks Veselina. I've checked with my ABAP team and they have confirmed that there was a change in the Function Module that was not moved to Devleopment. This issue was resolved once this change was transported.
