How does the system pick the Costing Variant in CK40N ?

I have a simple doubt. When we run the CK40n, how does the system picks the Costing Variant ? Is it from the PP settings ?

Please guide me.

Hi Nikki,

The default Costing variant for a plant is maintained in transaction OKKN, in the Valuation tab. If no plant is explicitly maintained in this tab, then the Costing variant is applicable to all the plants.

By by default in the CK40N screen, system picked a costing variant PPC1. Is there a setting in PP side or Plant side a default is assigned ?
