SID creation in masterdata tables with loading Hierarchy through FlatFile

For uploading MasterData into our BW system, we have created Flexible Upload InfoSources as much as possible, as these allow us to do a Referential Integrity check on the valueset loaded. This mechanism is working fine for both Texts and Attributes.

However, we also need to load Hierarchies. As far as I know, it is not possible to load Hierarchies through a Flexible Upload InfoSource. Thus, these are loaded using Direct Update InfoSources. Consistent with the SAP helptexts, this does not allow us to do a Referential Integrity Check. As a result, two problems arise. First undesired valuesets will be loaded into the system and new SIDs are created. Furthermore, no signal is posted that faulty MasterData is loaded into the system. As we need to distribute this MasterData to several BW-systems which need this MasterData for Month-end closing reports, you can imagine that this is not desirable.

As we are loading a couple of Hierarchies through FlatFiles, the scenario above is imaginable as a type mismatch is easily made in such a file.

Does anybody have a solution?
