SAP ECC on Oracle with SUN Solaris

Dear Team,

We are planning for HANA Migration from Oracle with is on SUN Solaris to SAP ECC on HANA in X86 Hardware ,Can we perform both at same time or do we need to perform Hardware Migration First and proceed with HANA Migration.

As well as ,We have rest of SAP Components on Solaris,We are Planning to move it in our second phase ,Will there be any communication issue happen between ECC and BW after my ECC Migrated to New Hardware because still my BW on SUN Solaris Hardware.

Hi Arunkumar,

SAP HANA can only run on Linux (SUSE or RedHat).
You may find more details in SAP note 2235581 - SAP HANA: Supported Operating Systems .

Answer: I think it shall be fine, because the communication does not rely on underlying hardware, so far as the HW is certified.
