local products in backend categories

Hi Gurus,

Need your wise input. We are on SRM 4.0.We are in a tricky situation.

We have replicated material groups from back-end(4.7).They show up in hierarchy/Category

R3MATCLASS.

We do not intend to replicate materials from back-end.We are going to create materials at Product workbench(commpr01) and assign

them to the replicated product categories.

The problem is "how do we assign the products created in SRM, to the replicated product categories from back-end"?

When we assign R3MATCLASS as the product base hierarchy,no categories that were replicated

from back-end show up.

Any suggestions?

Please share your thoughts,experts!

Trey

Hi Trey,

Did you replicate the object DNL_CUST_PROD1?If so ten under R3MATCLASS Node, there will be two subnodes one for Backend Product categories and second one for Local Product categories.

So wheneevr you create Local products through COMMPR01,they get assigned under the appropriate node.

Hi Nimish/Disha,

Thanks for the input. We are implementing classic scenario.

I understand that in R3MATCLASS,we can create local product categories and assign products to those categories through COMMPR01.

Our problem lies in assigning products to those categories which were replicated from backend. We are not replicating material....just the backend categories/mtl groups.

We downloaded DNL_CUST_PROD1 successfully. Now,the question is how do we create products in the replicated back-end product categories.

Any suggestions.....plzz.We are desperate:)to find a solution.

Hi

Did you check inbound queue in EBP Trx Code SMQ2?

Did you run in EBT Trx Code R3AS,Load objet "MATERIAL"?

Did you check in the monitor in EBP Trx Code SLG1?

Hi Trey,

Did you check the relation in transaction COMM_PRAPPLCAT between the hierarchy node and the purchasing application ?

Kind regards,

Hi Trey

Can you let us know which technical scenarios you are using.

To my knoweledge When we create a Local Material by commpr01 we are able to assign the backend material Group .

just chk that product categories are uploaded properly.
