Hi all,

After installing the on-premises components, when launching Desktop Agent I get the error message.

SAP IRPA Desktop Agent: Can´t properly Register to the Tenant

I have successfully completed the following installation steps.

  • Subscribing to SAP IRPA, Authorization and Trust Management
  • On-Prem Components Setup (INT_RPA_STUDIO00P_3-80004527.MSI, INT_RPA_AGENT00P_3-80004525.MSI, Remote Tools for Visual Studio 2019, Source Code Compare Tool KDiff3, Web Browser Configuration

Also, I have already follow this steps:

a.open the task manager and i.go to the tab Services, look for CxAgent, right click on it and stop ii.go to the tab Details, look for CtxtRun and end the task.

b.Open a file explorer C: -> program data -> sap -> robotic process automation -> tenant -> delete the file -> launch your agent again

These steps had worked in the past but now I the same error appears always.

Any advice?? Many thanks in advance!

Hi Carolina,

If I understand correctly, you launch directly the agent right ? It's not launch from the Desktop Studio.

How did you register yourself in factory side ? Using your machine name or your login ?

If it's the login, maybe you are already using it somewhere else and this is why it is happening.

If it's the machine it should not happened. As I can see you already take care of not having another agent instance launched.

Best Regards,

Alexis

Hi

You should not have this issue with the new version.

It was due to a agent ghost process.

I also strongly recommand to desactivate the option "Automatically Start at Windows Logon" when you are developping a bot. To do this you have to

  1. launch the agent
  2. Go into settings

  3. Uncheck "Automatically Start at Windows Logon"
