Target value in Inspection Plan

Good afternoon!

The task is next: load Inspection Plan in the system with the help of Migration Cockpit instrument. Use Incomplete copy model for MIC transfer.

At the end of the process I noticed completed field "Target value" with zeroes despite the fact that the indicator "Indicator for Check Target Value" was not set.

With what it can be connected? And how can this be fixed?

What kind of MIC's are these? SPC?

Hello,

In transaction LTMOM in Field mappings you can map these fields

Please refer this blog on how to add a field to the standard data migration template file.

Thank You for the answer. The step you are talking about was the first I took, when I faced with this problem. Unfortunately, It changed nothing and zero values still in Inspection Plan after migration.

Very strange that Migration Cockpit doesn't provide PLMK table with field SOLLWNI. So I can not tell it to make field "Target value" "not initial"....with no zeroes.

May be I mistaken?

Does it require you to complete the target value?

It's probably a function of using the incomplete copy model. You can add in a target value for any quant MIC. But you shouldn't be required to maintain it.

Have you looked at the tables to see if the zeros are stored as actual values? I.e. the "not initial" flag for the field would be set in the table.

In all honesty, outside of SPC characteristics, I've found almost no benefit of maintaining the target field.

I don't think so. I think its just that they display the field regardless and so they have it somehow set to display zeros when there is no value maintained. But it doesn't sound like it is preventing anything or blocking you from doing anything. It's just something that shouldn't be displayed at all.

If you don't use target values at all, maybe you can look at hiding this field in the list, or at least moving it somewhere that it won't normally be seen by anyone.

Another option is to reach out to SAP via an OSS note and see if it can be removed.

You may need to have a custom screen developed to do that.
