Creating user defined migration objects for direct transfer

Hi All,

I am trying to create a user defined migration object for direct transfer in LTMOM transaction, but I am only getting 2 options, either to use file based transfer or staging table approach.

When I create a new migration object in the Fiori app for direct transfer, and then come back to LTMOM and open it.

Goto More-> Migration Object -> Create migration object -> User-defined -> Migrate Data Directly from sap system

Here it is asking below

In the migration object, if i give any custom/Z name it is giving error "Given object id is not valid".

Can some one please tell me how can i create custom migration objects for direct transfer using migration cockpit.

Hi Anurag,

the process is as follows:

  1. Create your project in the FIORI App
  2. In LTMOM, first select your project (search via approach -> Migrate Data Directly from SAP System
  3. Go to Change Mode
  4. Select in top navigation "PROJECT" -> "Create Migration Object" -> "User-Defined" -> "Migrate Data Directly from SAP System
  5. This will bring you to a wizard that supports you creating your new object.

Hi Sybille,

Thanks for the response.

I did as you suggested, below are few questions.

  1. when we create a new project in Fiori, we need to select at least 1 migration object before we can proceed.
  2. After the above steps, the below wizard opens up. Here we have to provide the migration object and description.

3. If i give any custom object name say ‘ZTEST’ and description as ‘Test’, it is throwing an error, ‘Given object ID is not valid’. I am not sure where i am making the mistake.

Hi Anurag,

I checked in our internal systems - I was able to proceed.

Please open an SAP incident in component: CA-LT-PE.

Best regards,
