Dear Experts,
I am trying to create a design studio dashboard sourced from IDT universe
(SAP BOBJ 4.1 SP6 Patch 1) on top of HANA model (SAP HANA Studio Version 2.3.10), This model is having an Input Parameter for Fiscal Year which is Enabled for Multiple Entries. When I try to do data preview (on Edit Query Specification) its throwing error "Query Script generation failed, See Your Business Object Administrator. HANA variable type unexpected MULTI_VALUE for placeholder (IES 00013).
As per SAP recommendation I updated my design studio version to Release 1.6 SP4 Patch1, but still getting the same issue. I am able to run a webi report by selecting multiple years from Input parameter. but its giving issue for Design studio.
Any Idea what could be the issue or its a product bug for this version too.
Thanks & Regards,
Jiten

Hi Tammy,
I am facing issue even after updating the patch. Please see the post from Yesterday in this thread below. Please share your thoughts on what could be missing.

Hi Tammy,
I have updated the BOBJ patch to - 4.1 SP07 Patch 5.
Also my Design Studio version is upgraded to 1.6 SP4 Patch 1. Still I see the same issue on design studio
dashboard while trying to create a simple query by pulling few objects. (Screenshot attached)ds-multivalue-error-capture.png hana-input-parameter-for-multiple-values.png
I am able to create the webi report on universe based on HANA model having multivalue enabled input parameter, also I can create and execute query at universe level. however getting error while create query on design studio (by selecting same universe as Source--> Edit Query Specification --> pull objects and error appears.P
Please let me know if any extra configuration is required to fix this issue.
Thanks & Regards,
Jiten
Jiten, at this point, I would submit an incident to SAP - you can reference this thread and say according to the SAP note https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/0002263236 you patched and are still getting this error.
Thank you Tammy, I have submitted a ticket to SAP. Waiting for their response.

Hi Jiten.
Which seems you have created a universe on IDT,and it have a input parameter. You can use this universe in webi, and can open it in hana/IDT,just can't edit in sap design studio.Maybe you can try as follow:
First,if your parameter is must input, you can set a default value in it,and then edit the datasource.
Second.if your parameter isn't must input, you can set in HANA that parameter is not must input, and you will edit datasource fine in design studio .
That's my suggest.
Good Luck.
