CIC0 Activity Workspace

Hi all,

We want to enable a drill-down option via activities report (Z program). The activity should be opened in CIC0 transaction (and not CRMD_BUS2000126, for example).

1. Is it possible to call transaction CIC0 with specific activity (so it would be displayed in Activity workspace)?

2. Is it possible to change the activity displayed in activity workspace from user-defined workspace?

The easiest way to run a report in CIC is using object REPORT, method EXECUTE or EXECUTE2. You should create a variant and call the report into a workspace.

I don't think that it is possible to run a report In CIC as a workspace using object REPORT (or any other object).

It opens the report in new window and not as workspace.

As much as I know, running something as workspace is only possible for classes which inherit from super-class CL_CCM_ABSTR_CMPWSP .

Am I wrong?

Pankaj, Thanks for your reply, but I am afraid it isn't the answer I was looking for.

We are are aware to the fact that CIC0 is user framework for online interaction and, for the matter of fact, this is also the reason for our requirement: We need to enable the representant to view a report of his activities (Similar to activity monitor) without leaving CIC0.

We think that this can be done by 2 ways:

1. Running a separate report for activities, but opening the selected activity in CIC0 (which will limit the time representant spent out of CIC0).

2. Running the report as new workspace and changing the shown activity in activity tab (workspace) on activity selection.

Is it possible?

I am afraid this might not be possible so easly (might need some ABAP coding).

But this is what I feel:

CRMD_BUS2000126 is a activity maintenance transaction which is nothig but subset of trx CRMD_ORDER.

Now CIC0 transaction is just the user framework created for call center users to interact with online customer and schedule activities with them based on conversion. So agent will use this only when he is online with customer. But for rest of work (offline mode), he has to use CRMD_ORDER to check/search activities.

Also in CIC0 trx, we can search activities based on Business partner number (and not employee number) which is the standard functionlity of CIC.
