Hi all,

What are the tasks can be automated by OS scripts in managed system connected to sap focused run system.

I need to perform tasks automation based on the alerts in focused run system, like db restarts in ABAP managed system.

Thanks,

Hi Jwala Deepa,

Hope that you have Focused Run 2.0 already available, so you have the Earlywatch Alerts, hence you can try analyse them. OS scripts will be used to monitor & improvise the managed systems. Scripts for performing Activities in managed system are to be done via different SAP product called SAP LAMA, like DB restarts or whichever scripted tasks you say to perform changes or activity. Anyways, you can also add your own script for such checks & alerts & get that in your e-mail inbox & also you can manually write your own script for any automated tasks like you mentioned db restarts, but that part is not in Focused Run scenario. The idea of Focused Run can be to fetch the errors or alerts or automated troubleshooting in MachineLearning & IntelligentFramework for predictions & future System behavior analysis & predictions

Thanks,

Kaushik

not 100% correct. 🙂
For sure FRUN in is not the system that should execute automatic activities.
However it is possible to automate some routines that might be logical to do, dor example for QA systems ( I hope I understood your question correctly)
So, you can setup the following thing:
Breach threshold --> Rise Alert --> Automatically start OS script routine that is assigned to this Alert.
You can find more details about alert reactions here Expert Portal.

This feature is available also from the Automated Guided procedures.
But, yes. As it was mentioned by Kaushik automation of the infra\basis routines are done in another products (LAMA, Ansible, etc)
