(embedded EWM) generate EWM Packaging Specifications based on S/4 Packing Instructions

Dear experts,

I am wondering if it is possible in a standard S/4HANA with embedded EWM to generate EWM Packaging Specifications based on ERP Packing Instructions. The online sources that I find are only describing a transfer via CIF to a decentral EWM system. Could the CIF work for embedded EWM too, or is there another way possible?

Hello Alexander,

as described in the SAP help link since S/4HANA 1909 the distribution of ERP packaging instructions to EWM are handled via CIF in Tcode CFM1 & CFM2 for embedded version as well. Therefore look for prerequisite steps mentioned in note 2260234 and check whether BC Set attached to note 2485458 is implemented or not. Finally in transaction CFM1 the checkbox for the PackSpec will appear and now you can enter materials that contains packaging instructions for the CIF distribution.
