Suitable for method type for BDC

Hi friends,

I have a requirement in BDC to post and clear open invoices using tcode f-28. I am little confuse to use session method or call transaction method because my requirement is after post and clear the cleared invoice and original invoice should display on output with status success or failure.so if i go with session method how can i get the messages in my executed report, if i go with call transaction method then what is the update type i need to give in production system.here people can suggest for bapi but if i post and clear with bapi splitting issue happening that's the reason functional suggested for BDC.

Please help me on this.
