s/4 1909 Installation error Instance D00 did not stop.

Hi gurus

We are installing S/4 HANA 1909 on Redhat linux. Installation is stuck at 65% and throwing below error messages. If anyone know how to fix the issue, please let me know.

Hi Mathur,

There must be more log files in the directory mentioned like startsap.log, etc. Please have a look through and you should find more detailed error in some file. Please attach respective file here if you can't solve the issue.

HI dmvarma,

Is your issue still there or its resolved. In case the issue is no more, we would love to hear the process how you sorted the issue as it could help increase our knowledge base.

In case the issue is there, in that scenario, I would like to ask you to check the DEFAULT.PFL if its having the database hostname added & the system is able to telnet the database. Check the SAP Application Server SIDadm env values if they are having the DB-host & port details as well. This can be the scenario where the database is installed in different host in compare to the application.

Next approach is open a new OS session & try stop-start by "sapcontrol -nr 00 -function Stop" "sapcontrol -nr 01 -function Stop" "sapcontrol -nr 01 -function Start" "sapcontrol -nr 00 -function Start"

Just do the full system restart and then start the installation steps where it is getting stopped.

This issue is not solved. I have reinstalled everything and still getting the same error. Please check the attached document for logs. And help me out.
