Hello community,
we did a fresh install of SYBASE IQ 16.1 SP02 patch17 on Windows Server.
We are trying to create a new databse from IQ Cockpit. It is a very little database of 20 GB.
Execution phase is stuck on 25% with following messages:
Creating 1 database(s)...
Starting utility server as DWHTST on port 2640...
Successfully started utility server DWHTST on port 2640.
Creating database F:\DWHTST\dwhtst.db...
No useful information in .srvlog files. On file system the only available file is "createDB.sql". From Task Manager it seems there is no activity on system level.
Has anyone experienced the same issue?
Thank you!
Hello mshafiq,
eventually we found KBA 2813941 - IQcockpit 16.1. Create new database does not complete -SAP IQ
There is currentrly no solution, but it explains a workaround by creating database from dbisql using file createDB.sql
I ended up changing my database platform, so I could not test this workaround. Hope it works for you.

Hello giulia.felappi,
Thanks for your quick response yes I tried to create Database through Dbisql statement using utility Database,Database created successfully but not reflected in Cockpit. Doing this it creates new database engine not database under current database in cockpit.
Thanks.

Muhammad Shafiq
