LCA connection to DB (MSSQL) failed

Hi folks

We are installing a SCM 4.0 server on MSSQL.We created LCA instance and it's up and working fine but there is a problem in the data base link to the live cache.

This is verified with the following:

1.Program /SAPAPO/OM_LC_DB_SYNC_PREPARE (/SAPAPO/OM17).

Returns a short dump (DBIF_DSQL2_SQL_ERROR) when checking data base and live consistency check is carried out.

2.I'm trying to create time series for a planning area and I end up with a short dump.The error message is as follows :

The error occured in the current data base connection LCA

Runtime error : DBIF_DSQL2_SQL_ERROR

Could some one help me out in this regards.Any documenttaion in Live cache integration with MSSQL is highly appreciated.

Hi,

you can problably find more information regarding the error/shortdump if you take a look into the corresponding dev_w* (i.e. workprocess traces) and look for the correct time interval.

Additionally, you could take a look in both file knldiag and knldiag.err for errors during the same interval.

Generally however, for these kinds of issues I would prefer you would open an official OSS message, on queue BC-DB-LVC.
