Datasource on VBEP table for third party items

Hello Everyone, I would like to check whether the datasource 2LIS_11_V_SCL or 2LIS_11_V_SSL can be changed to pick the SO items with third party item category (Delivery is not relevant). My requirement is to have all the changes for those schedule lines but no datasource is able to do that and i had to create a custom datasource on VBEP but facing many issues like performance, delta, deletion of schedule lines etc. Looking for any inputs on this requirement. thanks in advance.
