Recommendation on SLD for XI

Is it best for the XI system to have its own SLD (and replicate to another) or to use a common SLD (like for solution manager)

Thanks

    Hi,

SAP strongly advices to have a single SLD for ur entire landscape.

Snote 720717 : Reduce the number of System Landscape Directories (SLD)

    cheers,

    Naveen

SO who is right here, Krishna , did you implement the multiple SLDs at a productive client? Did it make administration of the systems any more difficult?

Some admins are of the belief "you dont want one of anything" We actually have 2 solution managers (one for a sandbox) this is why I asked.

    Thanks

      Hi Jeremy,

We do have multiple SLDs at aproductive client.

Usually , we use one SLD for Dev and QA environment. And separate one for Production. Currently we are using in this way . wrt. Administration is concerend I don;t think so it is difficult, becuase usually production environment will be kind of robust environment when compared to other environments.
