The launcher is exited with error

Hi All,

Need assistance with the settings required to configure AFO for viewing workbook from launchpad

I have been receiving error " the launcher exited with error" "Could not get the string value of the node name". when viewing workbook from BI Launchpad.

I am assuming that AFO is trying to search for the server information however not sure where it looks for this information.

I could attach the log file if anyone would like to review. This is what is says:

- Error: No valid URL entered for service, Url = [a href="http://General .NET Exception:
Invalid URI: The hostname could not be parsed.

Hello Pavan and Richard,

Did you get a resolution to this? We have a similar issue where we get an error "Unable to cast COM object of type 'System._ComObject' to interface type 'Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.Worksheet'".After closing the error message, file can be edited normally, file can also be saved.

But, when trying to close the file, "no feedback" occurs and Excel must be restarted.

Did you ever find a solution for this? We have a similar problem which has only just occurred for some users with Analysis Office 1.4. Works OK for other users with Analysis Office 1.4 and all users who have been upgraded to 2.4
