FMAVC015 Negative Budget

Hello SAP Gurus,

I´m facing the subsequent issue:

My client had the availability control configurated to show the error message FMAVC015 for negative budget, but the message stop to work. The message was the following:

"The overall budget is exceeded by X (FM CB Availability Control) for document item Y. Budget control on outgoing amounts (ceiling type Expleditures) raised this message for the following combination of availability control ledger (and if applicable, year of cash effectivity) and control object:

zz/yyyy/xxxxxxxxxx/oooooooo/hhhhhhh-hhhh"

AVC Ledger/ Fund/ Fund center/ Commitment item/ Funded Program

Hi,

Negative budget on the lines without consumption is not controlled by AVC. You can prevent negative budget by creating a business rule on budget entry check. Of course, if there is consumption on a specific budgetary line, then AVC, if duly configured, won't allow to have a negative budget. So, first of all, what is your case: do you have consumption on the relevant line? If you do, then try and initialize AVC legder first via FMAVCREINIT.
