error loading flat file hierarchy

hi,

When I am scheduling flat file hierarchy it doesnt show the preview button enabled ...and when i start the job it says "data was requested"......can anyone please help me in this?....thanks

Hi,

For flatfile upload in the scheduler

under external data we have the option for previewing data prior to loading.

But this feature is nt vailable for data loads drom r/3.

For that we only need to check in RSA3 (Extractor checker)

BTW what was the error you got while loading the flat file hierarchy ?

Hello,

It means either Job has finished or Running.

Check using tcode - SM37 Status of job or Click monitor to know status.

Hi bwusr,

"Data was requested" is the message you get after you click start in the infopackage.Based on the " Name of file" in the External Data tab it looks for that and starts loading data from that file.

You can check the status in the monitor in the same screen of the infopackage.

If you get errors go to the details tab and check for the messages.

By "data was requested" means that the dataload has been scheduled. Check the load using the monitor.
