Hello Retail experts,

Could you please explain why we are defining a distribution chain for DC and a Distribution chain for Store, what are the implications on processes and on sales price with or without tax?

Thanks a lot !

Hi Nada,

To transfer goods from DC to stores, the system are using STO (Stock transfer orders), then, using VL10 tcodes (VL10B or VL10D) for instance, system creates deliveries (SD) and system needs a customer ID (related with site or store) and with an organization level (sales organization and so on). If DC and store are in different FI companies, then instead STO you use a cross company PO where the vendor is linked to the plant (actually, the DC), then the delivery (NLCC if my memory works) will be invoiced, so, you need a pricing procedure (including VAT or taxes) using the IMG options for this flows.

There notes, wikis and blogs about these topics. If you need more details , please let me know.

I hope it helps you

Regards,

Eduardo
