XI Mapping

Hi,

Can any one tell me how to document legacy master data (customer master,vendor master)into Xi in XML Format.

The legacy data comes from Flat Files.

Can I use File/FTP adapters or is there an alternative method to do it?

hi soumya,

you can use the file adapter with content conversion to convert text into XML.

you need to use content conversion provided in the file adapter to convert a flat file to xml.

If the source is a flat file, you have to do content conversion, this is specified in the sender file adapter. Refer the same here at : http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/2c/181077dd7d6b4ea6a8029b20bf7e55/content.htm on how to do it.

Yes, you can use file adapter with content conversion if your file is text based. Check the documentation.
