Expose ABAP function module as Restfule get service

Dear experts,

we have a function module in our SAP ECC system and we need to expose it as a restful GET service using our PI system (release 7.4): could you provide us the procedure on how to achieve this aim? We only found the following document online but it's not so much clear in explaining the tasks:
