Webi rich client vs html client huge perfomance difference

Hi,

We're having dramatic performance difference when executing a query from Launchpad-Webi vs Webi Rich Client or IDT.

a simple query via IDT or Webi Rich Client returns results within a couple of seconds. Them same query via Launchpad-Web generates atimeout...

Here's the layout:

Oracle database -> ODBC connection -> 2 tables in the datafoundation -> joined on 2 indexed fields -> Universe

No data transformations, conversions or calculations are made in the datafoundation or universe.

What do you think the issue is?

If IDT and WRC are on a separate machine from the one where BI platform is running, then the problem is with network/DB access from server to DB.
Otherwise, something else.
In any case - you need to run traces and capture SQL that is being run by Webi processing server, vs. IDT/WRC and compare.
End to end trace of the bilaunchpad workflow will show where time is spent.
