Differnce between Function Module (using SM37) and Function specification?

I would like to know the difference between the Function module which will done using SM37 and function sepicification

Hi,

Functional Specification is the document prepared by functional consultant. it contains the logical information for the technical development. Functional consultant gives this document to the technical consultant ( ABAPer ) for the development. Function Module is totally a technical term used by ABAPers to fulfill the development requirements..Function modules are sub-programs that contain a set of reusable statements with importing and exporting parameters.
