How to change a story to a different model in SAP Analytics Cloud

Hello, I have created a model and a story in "my model" and "my stories" folders in Analytics Cloud. I now want to move them to a different location so other users can see and use. I moved them both to a different folder and changed their names but now I need to change the model within the story to point to the model with the new name and location which is identical to the one currently in the story. How can I do this without losing all of my formatting and work that I have done to the story? The models are identical just with different name and location! Please help!

You can move models and stories to different folder locations without loosing any links/functionality. But as I know, it´s not possible to replace model A with B within a story.

Thank you for your quick response. Boy that is going to be a hard lesson to learn. I have moved them successfully but the users get an authorization error because the story is still using the model in "my model" folder. In WEBI this was an easy task. :-(

    Hi Jen,

Moving a story to a different folder will keep the same ID. Making a copy will create a different ID and the story will still refer to the original model. Please make sure you only move models and don't make copies!

    Kind regards,

    Hi Jen

    Agree with Martijn.

your story should work even after MODEL's location been changed as ID remains same.

moreover it's not required for you to explicitly repoint the model as SAC application itself automatically maps underlying Model(along with new folder name too)
