Estimating a fixed value for Meter Reading

I have a requirement from a client to estimate a fixed value for meter reading everytime. For example, if a customers read is being estimated, it should always be 30 units. (And not calculated using past consumption.)

I am planning on maintaining the percentage portion to a very high value so that base period is never established and system looks at periodic consumption.

Is there a better or alternative way to achieve this ?

I don't want to use EDMLELHA or enhancements.

Regards,

Monis Shakeel

Check for more information on the SAP Wiki Space on IS-Utilities MeterReading : link

But I don't see any other way than to use some form of Enhancement such as UserExit "EXIT_SAPLELHR_003".

I'll assume you mean 1 unit a day (30 units irrespective of time seems nonsensical) set the linear weighting (EADZ-PROFEST) on the register & the periodic consumption values & you might get close to 1 a day without implementing the exit.

Also, I'd push back on the client as to why they are using 30. If it is to minimize re-work such as reversing billing when actual readings are attained, there are techniques such as ISU_ASSESS to automatically deal with the billing.
