Hello,

one of our custumers has been considering to implement Account reconciliation sollution provided by Blackline and has asked me whether why such a solution is not directly provided by SAP and unfortunately I did not know the answer right away.... Therefore, one of my questions would be why hasnt SAP implemented the solution by themselves in HANA and if we could eventually see such solution being provided directly by SAP (in other words, is there something extremely difficult about Blackline´s solution that SAP can´t replicate?)

SAP Account Substantiation and Automation by BlackLine is directly provided by SAP as an SAP Solution Extension.

SAP Solution Extensions are strategic third-party solutions developed by independent software partners, in this case BlackLine, which offer innovative functionalities that complement SAP business solutions. SAP only pursues Solution Extensions in areas where we have no intention of building capabilities, such as in this case, with balance sheet substantiation.
