Hello SAP community,
I have several questions about how SAP uses the term "content server" in naming their products / features
We need to create a content repository for Archiving data from the database, then delete the data from DB and only keep it as archived.
this is supposed to be configured for a SAP CRM 7.0 system with NW 7.4 and HANA 1.0 as database
What I don't understand is :
- whenever I access transaction OAC0 , a list of content repositories is shown . and in transaction CSADMIN I can see the content server with status "running" . But we don't have any SAP Content Server system installed in our landscape.
is there a content server included in every SAP NW system ?
- If yes, can we configure the included content server to be used for archiving ?
Bottom line , the question is: if the SAP Content Server (with MaxDB) is a different thing than the "content server" we have on the CRM NW on HANA system, than which one can be used for data archiving ? do we have to install the SAP Content Server with Max DB for this purpose?
Any info is welcome
Thank you
