Hi
I would like to configure the system such that one weekly Planned order for 500 packs are generated automatically via MRP for whole year i.e. around 52 Planned orders. We have a requirement to make to stock around 500 packs of XYZ material on weekly basis. How to do this in system?
I read about cutoff planning using tcode MC88 but not sure how to use it for above scenario.
thanks
Hi Brahmankar,
In MD61, what should I select for Planning period field i.e.Months (M) or Weeks (W) on parameter screen and what should be my Planning Horizon i.e. From and To fields?
Also should i put 26000 (52 x 500) for the 1st Month?
Thanks

Hello,
You may try this
In material master MRP1 view maintain following setting,
Lot size = FS Fixing and splitting
Fixed lot size = 500
Takt time = 7
Rounding value 500
Create PIR MD61 in month with quantity as 26000
Run MRP and check the out come you will have 52 planned order with 7 days period.

R.Brahmankar

Hello
I cannot think about any setting to generate a planned order with a fixed quantity every week. You can use a reorder point, but then a new planned order will be only generated when the stock reaches the reorder point.
There are period based MRP types, where MRP can be executed once a week, but they you cannot ensure that you will always generate a new planned order with a fixed quantity every week.
My suggestion to you is to use a make-to-stock planning strategy, such as strategy 11, where system will propose new orders regardless of your available stock and to manually create PIRs in demand management (transaction MD61 / MD62).

Caetano
