SAC - Import Jobs - change query connection

Dear All,

Please find below the issue I’m facing at my client.

Scenario:

  • SAC Analytics Cloud – only one tenant (PRD)
  • Datasource: SucessFactors
  • Connection: Data Import. Data Acquisition from SuccessFactors to load data into SAC
  • SAC Model for data acquisition via Jobs (Data Management) to load data from Success Factors (data source)

Issue/context:

Having only one SAC Tenant (SAC PRD), I want to load data from QAS and after that, in a 2nd phase, I should load data from PRD into SAC.

Issue - Step by step :

  1. QAS connection is used to create SAC Import Jobs queries in order to load data from SuccessFactors into SAC.
  2. After user validation, I want to load production data into the same model, so import connection should be changed from QAS to PRD.

This is not possible. Once the Job query is created (using QAS connection), it is no longer possible to change the connection (Fig 1). This is my issue.

3. Basically, when selecting “Data Management” screen -> “Import Jobs”, I can only edit my query fields. The connection is not possible to be changed (Fig 2).

Is there any workaround? How can I solve this issue? Any suggestion?

    Hi Arno,

Could you try the option next to 'Draft Sources' to Import data from a data source? Here you can select a different connection.

    Does this help?

    Kind regards,

    Hi Arno

The only possible option over here to import data by selection

    1)New PRD connection

    2)access datasource object

    3)define a new SAC query

4)Import and map the objects with existing model and generate Model using the setting " Clean and replace with latest version"

5)Post model generation try to see data load record count(it should match)

    6)Now
