Run a Cloud Foundry Business Application with HTML5 modules that was created in the Web IDE locally

Hi,

Is it possible to run a SAP Cloud Platform Business Application with HTML5 modules created in the Web IDE locally using Visual Studio Code and node.js?

I’m able to build the database with “sqlite3 db/my-bookshop.db -cmd .dump” and run the service with “cds run” but I have not found a way to run/display the HTML5 modules yet.

Here's a link to my Test-Project on GitHub: https://github.com/emanuelParicon/TestTest
I want to be able to run TestHTTP-Requests somehow from localhost if srv is started.

Could you help me on this please?

    Hi Emanuel,

yes, this is possible but you'll have to make some modifications.

For local testing, you can start the app router as a separate process next to the "CDS run" process and insert the respective destination into the app router. Here's a sample repo that is doing the exact same thing (/app/.env file)

For simplification, I'd recommend to cut out the Grunt build step and to remove some unneeded files (such as the neo-app.json and the Gruntfile).
