SAP Analytics Cloud Data blending BW Live and Imported file

Dear all,

we have a scenario where we need to link Live BW connection model (e.g. inventory value) with Imported CSV model (coverage). The Material Number is the key for linking both models. For example we want to match Material No. 3 of Live BW Model with Material No. 3 of imported model. Of course Material No. 3 is part of both models. The link is also confirmed by the green hook in the linking editor. However, a graph can either show the value of one of the models, it can not show me the combined infromation like Inventory Value and coverage for Material No.3 in a bar chart...

I would think that this is a quite common use case in SAC so we are suprised that its not working.

Does someone have any idea?

Thank you in advance

Lee

    Hi Lee,

When you link the dimension you can select whether you want to link them based on an ID or the Description. Can you set this to ID and see if you can combine this data without issues? Because this workflow is indeed supported.

    Kind regards,

    Hello Martijn,

thanks for looking into my issue. I have matched Key and Key in the blending options of SAC.

However I have now discovered, that the Material Numbers of the Live BW Data are being added with a prefix of ten?! zeros as key (see jpg), so it seems that either BW is adding/converting prefixes in the BW Live connection, or SAC by itself.. Adding 10 leading zeros in all of our BW Queries is also no option...Our IT Department has currently no clue either....

    Regards

    Lee
