Hello,
we have a welcome campaign in the Marketing Cloud for a Marketing Area A. After the opt-in to the newsletter for this Marketing Area A, the Trigger Newsletter Subscribe is activated and the welcome email is played out. Until then everything worked without any problems.
Now a 2nd subscription for a newsletter of the 2nd Marketing Area B was added. Now the welcome mail is also sent to these subscribers and we don't want that.
We have tried with a Live Target Group to filter out the contacts who have a subscription for the 1st Marketing Area A. We have now sent the welcome mail to these subscribers. But this didn't work in cases where the contact was registered for both newsletters.
We also tried to filter via the Communication Category Marketing Area ID, but then the contacts get the welcome mail twice after the opt-in. So 2 mails at the same time, which we don't want either.
Does anyone know a way that only the contacts for the 1st Marketing Area are written with a single welcome mail?
Best Regards,
Lisa

Hi Lisa,
so you created two different communication categories for the two newsletters where the contacts can subscribe for?
Why can't you use these communication categories as a filter in the triggerbased campaigns? (I mean creating live target groups with Opt-ins for the communication categories)
So in one campaign you use live target group with Opt-in for communication category A (for Newsletter A) as a filter and in the other campaign you use live target group with Opt-in for communication category (for Newsletter B) as filter.
