Calling BAPI and function module in sequence - fails

Hi,

I am calling 'BAPI_GOODSMVT_CANCEL' to reverse Goods Receipt for outbound delivery and then calling function module 'WS_REVERSE_GOODS_ISSUE' to reverse Goods Issue for the same delivery .

While calling FM- WS_REVERSE_GOODS_ISSUE, system throws error message as 'Delivery doesnt exist'.

If this FM is called separately (without BAPI before), this works pretty well.

Have used SET UPDATE TASK LOCAL before BAPI and FM. Still the same issue.

Any solution for this issue?

Thanks,

Raj

I have found these two other questions on the same topic, concerning the use of WS_REVERSE_GOODS_ISSUE with another function module: there's an explanation at https://answers.sap.com/questions/11740318/unusual-behaviour-on-multiple-function-modules-usi.html, and a solution at https://answers.sap.com/questions/7237642/vl216-error-message-when-delivery-is-cancelled-and.html.

TL;DR: Can you try calling the two function modules in two distinct sessions, to avoid the sharing of the interface work areas, i.e. by calling the BAPI in RFC destination 'NONE' for instance (don't forget to also call BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT in RFC 'NONE' so that it applies to the context of the BAPI).
