Further to the above mentioned subject, our SAP 9.2 one of the VM's instance running on Win Server 2008R2 on the ESXI server, our plan to upgrade SAP B1 from 9.2 to 9.3 also upgrading to Win Server 2016, need technical advice prior to proceed the above.
- Take backups of the databases, to somewhere outside the server,
- Take mirror from the server that you're using now,
- don't try to upgrade SAP B1 from presaved or preused setup files, download them directly from SAP directory (download center),
- take in consideration the firewall of; the hosting company, Windows Server, Router,
- don't miss the status of the related services; TAO, SQL Services, License Manager Service, ...
Hope this helps,
KENAN

Upgrade on test environment fort then ask users to verify major business process and reports in B1 then stop transactions in live environment and upgrade your live environment. Before upgrading please make sure to have backups on seperate lovation other than server.
