SAP C4C Account Hierarchy - Account Types

Hi Experts,

We have a requirement to consolidate the view of the customer into a hierarchy

SAP caters for this via the hierarchy and selecting the parent account to assign and create the relationship. The problem is we are trying to understand certain things about the highest level parent account.

(Consider we are integration to ECC)

• This will have to be in some kind of role - Prospect/Sold-to/"Parent Account" or some role we create. Do we do this just by creating a role for this parent account, do we also add an account group or both? This could potentially feed further back to ECC again, making C4C the master for account hierarchies.
• If sales area data is required for accounts, will we have to select a single or multiple sales areas for this account, considering it might stay in C4C or be replicated to ECC?

I suppose there is no single correct answer, but hopefully someone can share their experience from other projects and how this has been done.
