Proceesing Indicator Issue In MD06

Hi,

Planner Has activated Processing Indicator OFF in MD06 for a material, when MRP background job executed and it re activated the Processing Indicator with status ON. I have checked, there is no changes to material. if there is no MRP relevant changes why MRP again activated the processing Indicator. please share your inputs.

Hello,

The processing indicator changes back to the initial state when the material is planned by MRP and a new MRP list is generated.

The MRP list is updated after you ran MRP. Which reset the processing indicator as you have exception message. The processing indicator for the MRP lists (Transaction MD05) is not deleted during planning if no new exceptions exist.

Hi Brahmankar,

As you said above MRP will reactivates the Processing indicator if it has exception message. but please find the attached screenshot there you can find the only three materials got updated with processing indicator status to ON, rest of materials were not updated. please check once.

Did you read SAP note e 30684 - Exception adjustment in the planning run?

If there are exception messages in the MRP list that was just created, the system searches for matching exceptions in the old MRP list that is indicated as processed. If the corresponding exception is then found, it is characterized in the new list as 'old'. If this applies to all the exceptions of the new list, the processing indicator of the MRP list is retained.
