Editable Prospect before closing Opportunity

Hello all!

I'd like to make all fields within the Prospect to be Read Only until the Opportunity is marked as Closed and Won. Only when the Opportunity has been marked as Closed and Won should the fields in the Prospect become editable. Are there any options to do this in C4C?

BR,
Konstantin

    Hi,

you can do this using SDK. My approach would be as follow:

    1. Create a KUT Extention field of type indicator for Accounts UI.

    2. Enable the field created in step 1 to PDI using a reference file.

    3. Generate Root-BeforeSave event for Opportunity BO and write here your ABSL logic to update the field value for KUT field from Step 1. Once the opportunity is closed you can again toggle the indicator field.

    4. Go back to UI and then you can define UI rules based on the KUT field defined in step 1.

Note: If your project is already live then you might consider making a inital load for all the existing opportunities in order to update the field value defined in step 1.

    Hope it helps a bit.

    Thanks

    Saurabh
