disclosure management_excel layout not taken correctly to word

Hi

we are just implementing DM, version 10.1. Our problem is the layout which we fix in excel. In word it is not appearing correctly though in word we choose the option "excel layout" for the tables.

1. We set the width of the excel tabel to 17cm but in word it appears much bigger, something like 21.

2. We need lines below numbers in a table. This line weigth in word must be exactly 1pt. To what weight do we have to set the line in excel? We tried but it appears much bigger in word then we see it in excel.

    Hello Rita,

The issue you experiencing is due to the fact that Excel operates only with points and pixels and Word only operates with cm and inch.

There are two options to get Word table format right:
    1) If you just need your table fit to the width of the page, you can set it in Word table properties,

    2) If you need the exact table width, you can calculate formulas for points-to-cm and cm-to-points conversion for column width and row height. For that I recommend to do a series of tests and find a linear/quadric/whatever-fits-best equation by Excel. Note that system parameters (default Excel font, Windows display settings, and others) are highly important for working test: so this task must be done at client’s workstation, not on server space. Please message me if you need more info on that.

    Hi Rita

You can also try using the "adjustable column width" option
