Hi

Do somebody know , can we use sybase central to check CPU time, begin and end time of a query and which query is taking long ? Or could someone tell me the name of open source tools for sybase performance tuning.

Not worked with ASETune. But after I read it in your comment, googled for it. And looks to be a good tool .So go for it.

There are good ones avaible for a price :-)

    - DPA (database performance analyzer) from Solarwinds

    - Surviellance from Bradmark.

There used be a free asemon tool, not sure if it is still available and supported.

All tools need some upfront work to set them up.

And if you are scripting kind of guy/girl then you can dabble in MDA tables which CAN provide you answers to most of the performance related questions.

But if talking about MDA tables like(monProcessActivity, monProcessStatement etc..) these can help, but tool will be better to find exact solution and currently i am looking for a open source tool.

Have you ever work or heard about ASETune tool?
